Biography

Brazen Forgery is a symphonic dark metal project based in Turku, Finland, offering a unique perspective on metal by blending elements of doom, death, gothic, and black metal, along with classical and film music. The project came to life during the COVID-19 pandemic when the artist behind the project began to refine their musical vision, weaving together a sonic landscape that echoes the artist's musical preferences from the melodious metal of the 1990s and 2000s, combined with classical orchestration and brass instrumentation.

With its esteemed melodies and dynamic instrumentation, Brazen Forgery creates a musical experience that merges the heavy and the beautiful. Grief and introspection are strongly present in the music, while grand horns and orchestration bring a sense of majesty and timelessness.

Brazen Forgery released their self titled debut album in January 2023, and the single The Antimatter was released on November 10, 2023. The new Karelia-themed EP, Karelia Suite was released on sep 19, 2024, with the first single Kuollut Maa being released on Friday, June 14th and the second, Piilopirtti on Friday, July 19th.
